Deceptive advertising

I'm sure that everyone has seen some type of advertisement for debt relief. Some of the typical headlines will look like this:

• Consolidate your bills into one monthly payment - no qualifying
• Stop creditors from calling, repossessions, foreclosures, and garnishments
• Consolidate your debts!

A majority of these advertisements are for one thing and one thing only...filing bankruptcy! The only message here is simple; be careful of advertising that seems to good to be true, as the old saying goes if is sounds to good to be true it probably is.

I would recommend that you read my article on Bankruptcy and do some research of your own before taking that step. It is not as good as it sounds and it may not even be necessary!
